Tech writer Steve Moser (via MacRumors) spotted two new display resolutions that don’t match any other panel on previous MacBook models, including a “3456 x 2234 Retina” display and a “3024 x 1964 Retina” display. This lines up with the screen resolutions that would be found on the 16-Inch and 14-inch models, respectively.  As pointed out in the post, this means both MacBook Pro models come with a native 2x Retina resolution. The previous 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro model sports a 3072 x 1920 native resolution, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro introduced 2560 x 1600 native resolution. Increased pixel density means sharper images, which suggests the next MacBook Pro models will have some stunning displays. With the adaptive 120Hz display tech now being introduced to the M1 iPad Pro and iPhone 13 Pro line up, only time will tell if the new MacBook Pro models will receive the same treatment. Apple’s 2021 MacBook Pro models are expected to arrive by November, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Of course, only time will tell if these rumors come to fruition. While the upcoming MacBook Pro models are expected to be fitted with the next Apple Silicon chip, there are already murmurings of 2022 MacBook Pro models. Here’s why you might want to hold off buying this year’s MacBook Pro.
